Whether
it is a sentimental poem, an entertaining childrens' short, or a
sultry, dramatic romance designed to leave you spell-bound and wanting
more, you will find it within the pages of a Rusty Blackwood piece.
Canadian
author Rusty Blackwood believes the flair for fantasy is anything the
mind wishes it to be, and she is a master at this. Within the avenues
of her expressive mind is found an endless array of romance, passion,
textures and colors to sweep the reader to exotic, faraway places where
anything is possible.
Rusty has
written an eclectic array of Contemporary and Traditional poetry,
publishing her first collection in October of 2009 entitled, "Feelings:
A Rhythmic Journey in Thought" which was re-released as a second
collection with additional content in 2011 under the title,
"Impressions: A Poetic Rhythm in Emotion." Feelings was followed in
April of 2010 by a collection of assorted short stories for children as
well the young at heart entitled, "Young Minds". Young Minds was also
re-released as a second collection with added content in 2012 under the
title, "Through the Eyes of Innocence."
Her first
venture into the competitive world of main-stream fiction was a long
time in the making, but was finally realized in early October 2010 with
the release of her debut novel, "Passion in Paris: Connections to the
Past", the first of two in the ongoing romance/drama. The second part,
entitled, "Passion in Paris: Directions of the Heart" was released in
May 2011. In March of 2012 Rusty released the short-story comedy,
"The Misadventures of Derwood Tugbottom" which is expected to be
followed in the future by the intriguing drama, "Net of Lies".
"I
give this book my highest praises. Rusty Blackwood's novel transferred
to
my soul the love, romance, and passion that developed between Joy
Wychmere and Cullen Malone, as well as a thrilling intrigue and
suspense built within these pages. As a novelist with poetic leanings,
Ms. Blackwood touched my heart with her words. I felt a kinship with
the characters, as my being was drawn into the pages, and I breathed
the Parisian air. Fiction became reality within me. Ms. Blackwood kept
me through every page, leaving me desiring more after the last word was
read. I recommend this book without reservation to anyone who longs to
know passion, excitement, suspense, and love. It is a must read." Fred

Rusty is
often asked how much of herself is found in her heroines, and she has
been quoted to say "a fair amount", adding that most writer's
inspiration comes from many different aspects of their life
experiences, using them to their best advantage, and with seven
published titles to her name there is no denying Ms. Blackwood loves
what she does..
